3/22/2025 - Boost Cut

 Been doing a poor job at keeping this updated.

 

Issue:
Car falls on it's face, almost similar to a fuel cut when 50% throttle is applied.

 

Root Cause:

Ordered replacement

Oil Change - 5/19/2024

 

Oil change performed at 150,000 miles

Repaired - Clutch Pedal Assembly / Launch Control

Took the Clutch Pedal Assembly down to AG Autosports in Ft Lauderdale. They really came through. fixed up the cracked part/metal with some great welding/reinforcement to prevent this from happening again.

In addition to repairing the clutch pedal assembly. I also was able to get the Launch Control finally working on the car!

Figured I'd give an update as the issue is 100% resolved.

Root Cause:
Upper Switch was not plugged in. Furthermore, the Clutch Pedal Assembly was cracked. When the clutch pedal was pressed, it would not make contact with the Switch. I had a shop straighten out the pedal assembly and welded the crack. As well as the firewall. Good as new.

Random Key Notes: (For launch control)
Unlike a DSM, you must have the clutch all the way to the floor in order for the launch control to activate (the Switch basically needs to be pushed). You must be completely still (0MPH) with no rolling movement at all, and on a flat surface.

One day was driving with the wife and hard a big crack sound. Wasn't until about two weeks later when attempting to diagnose 2-step issues, a feature that hasn't worked since I purchased when I purchased the car that I discovered this.

 

 

Oil Change - 9/12/2023

 I haven't been documenting all of my oil changes. Need to fix that and stay on top of documentation.

Work Performed:

• Oil Change 10W30 Amsoil Signature Series (Synthetic)
• Filter change - Mobil1 1110a

 

Mileage: 148,000

 

Wheel Lug Repair - 9/9/2023

In preparations for the DSM/Evo Shootout, I needed to take care of this as I had been on 3 wheel lug studs for a while now. This will not pass tech.

I've avoided this for so long as I absolutely dislike working on the e-brake system. 

Work Performed:

• Removed two broken wheel studs and replaced with OE wheel studs (purchased from Auto-Zone)
